Anna Sosi Story
Anna ended up teaching 20 children last summer. The parents were very pleased with the program, many of them commenting on how much their child enjoyed it. Anna and her brother have also been busy running their own business, using their summers not as normal teens would, but by working long hours in a food stand learning the "ins and outs" of the business world. Anna is a 2007 graduate of Newman High School who recently was the recipient of the McKelvey Scholarship. The McKelvey Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors that have owned their own business for at least one year and have at least one other employee. She is a vibrant, energetic young woman whose accomplishments have made the Park District very proud. We are humbled by her acknowledgement that her participation in the Coloma Township Park District's Summer Programs contributed to her success in life.

Anna Sosi, a freshman at Kendall College in downtown Chicago, Illinois, demonstrates a natural aptitude for leadership and compassion. She began attending Coloma Park District's Summer Program by participating in Summer Field Trips at the age of six. She was also part of the Tee Baseball Program. Last summer, Anna was an instructor for the Coloma Township Park Distric's Youth Tennis Program. Normally the program allows for 12 to 13 participants, but whenever Anna was contacted about adding another child, she would not refuse.
